Born in Warsaw Poland, Marta started singing at a young age, spearheading her love affair with music. At age four, her parents divorce led Marta and her mother to flee Europe to a small town in British Columbia, Canada. Being raised as an only child by a single mother with English as a second language, life was a struggle for the two. Her mother remarried, and ever since then Marta was fortunate to be raised by two very supportive parents. Growing up an athlete, and very involved in theater and music, Marta graduated with scholarships to Vancouver Film School. After a full year in acting school she realized that music was her true passion, going hand in hand with performing. Being influenced by synthesizer visionaries Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, and Madonna she taught herself to play keyboards and joined various pop/electro bands and soon found herself on tour with The Killers, Tegan & Sara, & Chromeo. That same year, Martas love for music played the role of "cupid" introducing her to the life changing world of DJing. Soon she was in hot demand at many different clubs and events and was producing her own music. Her remix of the Ladytrons single “Runaway” hit top spots on Itunes. Dominating the turntables under the moniker affectionately known as "Fembot", Marta became an innovator and a trendsetter among female DJs nationwide. Her eclectic taste in music ranges from sexy house, dirty electro, synthpop and beyond. As a leader among today’s female DJ’s, Marta has had the opportunity to play LA Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Coachella after parties as well as holding down residencies at some of the swankiest clubs and lounges and playing exclusive parties for Neve Campbell, SYTYCD, and Diesel Clothing. Now calling Los Angeles home, Marta is currently working on music for her forthcoming DJ album. On top of that she has recently finalized The Sweet Kills line-up as the bands keyboardist. Whether she is charismatically amplifying crowds as DJ Fembot or throwing down as a stylistically dynamic keyboardist for The Sweet Kill, Marta is the hot topic and inspiration for many within artistic communities worldwide.
